Terms of use

By using the Alumni Portal of the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden (OTH AW), I declare my agreement with the following points to OTH AW:

  1. I (user) undertake to use the Alumni Portal only in accordance with its actual purpose (as described under LINK: Homepage/Registration Page Portal).
    I am authorized to participate in the OTH AW Community if I have a connection to OTH AW (former student, lecturer, employee of OTH AW).
    I undertake in particular
    • not to make my access data available to any third party,
    • to use the portal exclusively for my private purpose,
    • not to pursue any commercial objectives with its use,
    • not to make any digital copies of the member data and
    • not to make any copies - even excerpts - of the portal and the information contained therein.
  2. I further undertake to behave fairly within the Alumni Portal. This includes in particular the obligation that
    • I will respect the integrity of other users; in particular, I will not post any personally offensive content or similar on the portal or communicate in any other way,
    • I clearly identify myself by my name in the portal,
    • I will not log into the portal using a different identity,
    • I do not post any content on the portal that violates applicable laws or infringes the rights of third parties; in particular, the content must not contain any pornographic, violent or racist content,
    • I do not upload any files that could be infected with a virus or give the impression of being infected.
  3. I acknowledge that OTH AW accepts no liability for damages that may arise from the use of the system.
  4. I acknowledge that no guarantee is given regarding the availability of the services or their functionality.
  5. I recognize the right of the administration to edit, move, delete and close topics and posts, and to block the user in case of violation of the terms of use.
  6. I acknowledge that the respective posting user is responsible for all posted data or content. As the operator, OTH AW accepts no liability for either the technical quality or the content.
  7. OTH AW assumes no responsibility for information from external links published on this site.

I have understood the above declaration and accept the rules contained therein.
